Cat City

nimated feature, Hungary–Germany–Canada – Béla Ternovszky, 1986. Digital restoration supervised by Béla Ternovszky – Bonus features: award-winning animated short films; portrait documentary; film history documentary.

Grabowski, mouse agent 007, undertakes a dangerous mission: he has to bring the secret plans of the super-weapon from Pokyó, with the help of which the mice will be able to settle accounts once and for all with the cat mafia threatening their very existence. The action comedy set in a cat and mouse civilization is the reversal of popular genre films. It enjoys cult status among generations of Hungarians thanks to its evergreen visual and (above all else) textual gags.
